On the register

Keen Passagefield Financial Planning Co., Ltd. was established in 2014. The office address is Tambon Waeng, Amphoe Waeng, Narathiwat 96160. Appointments are conducted in Thai or Malay. Letters are written in Thai.

How the company began

Pimchanok Rattanakul spent 2006 to 2013 at a commercial bank branch in Mueang Narathiwat, on the counter that handled savings passbooks and loan files. Clients kept asking her to look at a whole year rather than a single product. In 2014 she registered Keen Passagefield Financial Planning Co., Ltd. and began seeing households by appointment in a rented room in Tambon Waeng.

The English name was chosen so relatives writing from Bangkok or Malaysia could spell the practice without guessing a long Thai name, and so the work would not sit only under one person's name once siblings started arriving together. The room is still one room, on the lane behind the morning market. If you are unsure of the door, telephone from the market and someone will come to the lane.

Farid Mahamad joined in 2021. He is from Waeng, works in Thai and Malay, and leads the cash-flow appointments. He joins an annual checkup when the household wants the hour in Malay. The practice did not open a second branch. The cabinet, the lamp, and the appointment book are still in the same place.

Pimchanok Rattanakul

Pim leads every annual financial checkup and every horizon conversation. Seven years on a bank counter taught her to read a booklet without decorating it. She keeps a shelf of public guides from the Revenue Department for the moment a question should go to an accountant, and she says so in the room.

Fund questions go to a licensed broker the household chooses. Tax questions go to an accountant. The work she keeps is the yearly plan, the goal sheet, and the letter.

Farid draws the busy month and the quiet month. He asks twice about money sent to a parent, because that line is the one people skip. Labels on the cash-flow page can be written in Malay so they can be read after a long day in the shop or the holding.

He grew up in Waeng and knows which weeks the market road goes quiet. He will mark an estimate as an estimate rather than smooth a missing week into a tidy average.

How a household is treated

Papers stay on the table. A missing month stays missing. Four goals is the ceiling, so the letter can be read aloud. The person who decides is named, even when relatives have opinions. Gold kept at home is counted only if the household puts it forward.

Working copies of letters are kept in a locked cabinet in the office. The household keeps the sheet they will actually use. Funds, insurance, and gold belong at their own counters. This appointment ends with a goal sheet, a letter, and a date for the next look.
