Between one checkup and the next
Four lines, and the months between them
Goal tracking at Keen Passagefield is a sheet that lives in the house, a letter in Thai, and an optional review around the middle of the year. It is the way an annual financial checkup stays present until the next one.
What a line has to carry
A line is admitted to the sheet only when it has a name, an amount in baht, a date, and the person who decides. The annual checkup writes up to four. The household keeps the page. The office keeps a copy in the cabinet so a lost sheet can be replaced at the mid-year review.
The letter, sent within ten days, repeats the lines in sentences. That is for the sibling who could not attend, and for a tired evening in July when the appointment itself has blurred. If the hour was in Malay, a Malay summary is attached to the Thai letter.
Composite lines from Waeng
- FeesSchool and college charges, 86,000 THB across May and November, decided by both parents.
- PickupReplacement before a named rainy season, set aside without a new loan, decided by the person who drives it for work.
- LeaseThree months of shop rent from the figure on the lease, in a separate envelope.
- ClinicA quarterly sum for a parent's travel, decided by the adult child who goes along.
Rounded composites, not one household's file. Your amounts replace these.
The household calendar
Households choose the checkup month. Some book just after a large rubber payment, when the drawer is full and the mood is generous. Others book before the May school fees, when the mood is stricter and the choices are clearer. Either month works. A week when the office is closed for Songkran does not.
A week before the appointment, the questionnaire arrives. On the day, the ninety minutes are spent on the year you had, not on a catalogue. About six months later, the mid-year goal review is there if you want the same sheet marked: done, delayed, dropped, or rewritten. Through the other months the sheet stays in the house. The practice does not telephone you to sell a follow-on product. The next contact we expect is you, bringing the sheet back, or writing because a line broke.
When a quiet month proves the set-aside was too proud, the review is the place to lower it. When a relative pays a fee you had claimed, the line can be crossed out. Crossing out is part of the tracking. A sheet with four untouched wishes is a sheet that never met the year.
Where to begin
New households start with the annual financial checkup. A household that already has a sheet from the past year can book the mid-year goal review. If the cash itself is still muddy, the cash-flow sitting can come first.
